privacy statement - www.myChess.de

For us, the operators of myChess.de a responsible handling of your data, according to the legal regulations in Germany is a matter of course.
This privacy statement applies to myChess.de, i.e. to the website of www.myChess.de and the mobile entrance portal http://mobile.myChess.de. If other internet sides of other offerers should be linked from myChess.de, then our privacy statement does not apply to these.

1. Collection and processing of data

1.1. You can visit our web pages, without communicating us, who you are. myChess.de only stores which IP address called which web page at which time and which browser is used. These data is raised for general statistic purposes, in order to see the extent of utilization of the server and the frequency of the call of certain parts of the program. No use profiles are put on!

1.2. A registered member of myChess.de can store further personal data apart from name and address in his player profile (link my player data), which are visible for other visitors of the webside. Real name, postal zip code and residence, so far stored, are visibly to other registered and logged in members only if the player explicitly authorized this in his personal settings (link my player data).

1.3. myChess.de also uses cookies. Cookies are small packets of data, which are put down on the hard disk of your computer. myChess.de uses cookies to store the color settings of your chessboard. Each player can activate an additionall cookie in order t store username and password for a fast login. This is done however only on your express agreement within your personal player profile (link my player data).
Most browsers permits Cookies in the pre-settings. If you do not wish this, you can change the settings of your browser. If you don´t know how to change your cookie-settings please contact the manufacturer of your browser.

1.4. The time of the last log in of each player is stored. With each Login a session ID is produced. The member can terminate his Login at any time, by clicking log out. The session ID is deleted thereby. After 1 hour without activity the session ID is deleted automatically.

1.5. On several parts of the webside you can enter personal data into input fields as for example your name and your address. These data will only be stored and used for correspondence with you and to the completion of the chess server and will not be given to any third party. You can recall the given consent for the use of your data at any time with effect for the future.

1.6. myChess.de stores the player´s alias name, password, real name, address (so far specified) and email address and personal data (so far specified) as well as all game results in a data base on the web server. Bank account information for paid memberships at myChess.de are not stored on the web server. All data can be seen by the operator of myChess.de. The password selected by you is stored encoded and can be changed by the member in his profile settings (link my player data). All data except the user name can be changed by the member and is protected by your password against unauthorized access.

2. Your rights, information and contact

You have the right to ask for any personal data which is stored by myChess.de concerning you as a person. Besides you have the right to ask for correction of incorrect data, blockage and deletion. A revocation of your agreement to this privacy statement is possible at any time and has the end of the membership to the consequence. Any terms of notice as well as liabilities due to a paid membership remain unaffected by this. The member can address the revocation directly to myChess.de (function mail to service, email, fax). The asserting of these rights is for free.

3. Actualization of this privacy statement

Occasionally an actualization of these privacy statement can become necessary, if e.g. the offer is extended by myChess.de by new functions. We will then inform you here. This explanation dates of 2005.12.01.

4. Printing and save of this privacy statement

This privacy statement can directly be printed or saved to your hard disk, e.g. by using the save and/or the print function of your browser.
